CDAA tries to field 2 teams at every age level- 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U, 14U, and 15U.
Teams typically consist of 12 players. Those not selected for a travel team are highly encouraged to register for house league baseball.

CDAA baseball creates teams made up of players from the same grade. Players may be required to provide both proof of age (copy of birth certificate) and proof of grade level at try-outs.
The only time a player would be considered to play outside of their grade level would be to fill out an older team that does not have enough players at that grade level (this excludes 2nd graders playing up to 9U). A younger grade player will never displace a player from a higher grade level.
CDAA traveling teams play in the Gopher State Baseball League. Teams typically play a 16 game schedule. Approximately half the games will be in Champlin/Dayton and the other half will be played at other cities in the league. Games are generally on weekday nights and most weeks will have two games, however there may be times when games are played on weekends. CDAA traveling teams generally play three to four tournaments during the summer, in addition to State Tournaments, in the event they qualify. Practices begin after teams are formed with league games beginning late April. The final State Tournaments end in late July.

The only way the CDAA baseball program is successful is because we have been fortunate to have adults willing to volunteer their time to coach. If you are interested in coaching a traveling baseball team, please contact: cdaayouthbaseball@gmail.com
