K/1/2 Clinics

• Open to all Kindergartners, 1st graders and 2nd graders
• 1:45 - 3:15 pm on Four Saturdays:  Jan 20, Jan 27, Feb 10, Feb 17

Registration 

• Registration is now closed for all divisions, except the K/1/2 Winter Clinic

Please note that registration for grades 3 and up will close BEFORE the evaluation night! Please be sure to register by the deadline!

Registration:

• Sep 1, 2023 -- Registration OPENS for all divisions
• Oct 1, 2023 -- Registration HAS CLOSED for 3rd-4th grade divisions 
• Oct 23, 2023 -- Registration HAS CLOSED for 5th-8th grade divisions 
• Dec 3, 2023 -- Registration HAS CLOSED  for 9th-12th grade divisions

Registration will remain open as long as possible for each division, but a $25 late fee will apply after the EARLY deadline. 

Evaluations:

• Oct 2, 2023 -- 3rd/4th grade evaluations
• Oct 24, 2023 -- 5th-8th grade evaluations / draft  
• Dec 4, 2023 -- 9th-12th grade evaluations / draft.

Note: 2nd graders that play at an advanced level may register for and attend evaluations for the 3rd/4th grade division. 

Note: There are no evaluations for the Kindergarten clinics, or the 1st/2nd grade divisions.

The purpose of evaluations is just to help us gauge all of the players' skill levels. We use the evaluations to make balanced teams in the 3/4 division, and coaches use the evaluations to draft teams for the older divisions.

3rd and 4th  GRADE DIVISIONS

9th-12th GRADE DIVISIONS

Practices for these divisions will be held at our local elementary or middle school gyms in Champlin/Dayton. This includes:

• Dayton Elementary
• CBPA (new gyms, access from the back of school)
• Jackson West (a.k.a. Rebels 1 and Rebels 2 gyms)
• Jackson East (a.k.a. Jackson Upper and Lower gyms)

Each team will typically have one practice per week, on a weeknight. We will send out practice schedules to coaches each month, and coaches will communicate those practice times and locations to their team.

Games for the middle school (5-8) and senior (9-12) divisions are all managed by OMGBA, and are held at the Maple Grove Community Gyms. Once teams are formed, a complete game schedule will be posted at OMGBA's website. We will provide a link here when ready.

Games for the 3-4 divisions will be held at the Jackson West and Jackson East gyms. Click here for the 3/4 game schedule.

5-8 Division Dates

• December  2, 2023: Games begin  and will be held on Saturdays through Feb 17, 2024 - Teams will play 1 or 2 games each Saturday.
• December 8-10, 2023: BPAA Holiday Classic Tournament in Brooklyn Park.
• January 20-21, 2024: OMGBA Mid Season  Tournament at the MGCG & MGMS.
• February 23-25, 2024: End of Season Play-offs.

9-12 Division Dates

• December 5, 2023: NML Coaches Meeting 7-8:30pm MGMS Auditorium.
• January 7, 2024: Games begin (Sundays).
• January 20-21, 2024: CDAA 3 on 3 Tournament in Champlin Park
• February 3-4, 2024: OMGBA Senior High Jamboree
• March 1-3, 2024: End of Season Tournament.

1st / 2nd grade

These are a blend of practice / game format, designed to help our young kids learn skills and and learn how to play in a game setting. They will be held at CBPA on the following Saturdays. Times will be announced.

K/1/2 Clinics

Clinics will be run by Midwest 3on3. We offer separate FALL and WINTER sessions. You may sign up for one or both! 

These clinics are open to kids in Kindergarten,  AND 1st grade and 2nd grade.

Fall sessions will be held at CBPA Elementary on the following Saturdays at the times listed.

• Nov 18, 2023, 1:00 - 2:30 pm
• Dec 2, 2023, 2:00 - 3:30 pm  
• Dec 9, 2023, 2:00 - 3:30 pm  

WINTER sessions will be held at CBPA Elementary on the following Saturdays at the times listed.

• Jan 20, 2024, 1:30 - 3:00 pm
• Jan 27, 2024, 1:30 - 3:00 pm
• Feb 10, 2024, 1:30 - 3:00 pm
• Feb 17, 2024, 1:30 - 3:00 pm

We have several Parent Q&A Zoom sessions scheduled for our CDAA Rebel Parents. 

Whether a returning player, or new to Basketball, these are handy sessions to ensure any League Questions are answered.

The CDAA Basketball Board consists of several members that support over 500 kids in grade K-12.  These volunteers cover everything including coordinating programs, equipment, uniforms, awards, schedules, registration, tournaments etc...  We especially need COACHES and Team Managers. Without these valuable people, CDAA would not be able to be one of the most successful youth programs in the state. We would love to have you join our team this season. We will have several openings in various areas and levels.  If interested please email basketball@cdaasports.org
