Welcome to CDAA Football 2011!
Director's MessageWelcome to 2011 CDAA Football. Although football season seems far away, it will be here before we know it. We are looking forward to another great season. You will find information on registration, coaching, scheduling, equipment, camps, and other topics on this page. Please do not hesitate to e-mail if you have questions that are not clarified by the website. We are looking forward to seeing you, and as always we are looking for volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering please email the football program at Football@CDAASports.org. Head Coach ApplicationsApplications are closed for 2010 - thank you for your interest. Tackle Football Registration and Equipment Issue (JRAC)Fees for the 2011 Tackle Football program are $160. Due to the current state of the Metrodome and uncertainty of whether we will be able to secure it for games, we will not be assessing a Dome fee at registration. If we are able to secure games at the Metrodome, $20 will be collected from each participant to pay for these games. Tackle football players will also need a $150 deposit check for equipment. When the equipment is returned in good shape, the deposit check will be returned or shredded. Parents or Legal Guardians for participants in any of our tackle Football leagues must come to one of the walk-in registrations with the participant to register for Football. There will be no registration for tackle football leagues online! We are requiring in-person registration because we need to weigh each participant and properly fit their equipment. At equipment issue for tackle football, you will receive a helmet, practice pants, game pants, and pads for pants. Coaches will issue game jerseys and practice jerseys at your first meeting. OUR PROGRAM WILL HAVE UPGRADED BLUE GAME JERSEYS THIS YEAR DUE TO THE DISCONTINUATION OF OUR OLDER STYLE JERSEYS. You are responsible to provide shoulder pads, mouth piece, cleats, and other optional pads for your athlete. Under Armour mouth pieces are available at all registration sessions. These mouthpieces retail for close to $60. We are selling them for $15. The mouth pieces are shown to reduce the effects of impact blows in sports like football. Walk-in Registration Dates and TimesRegistration is closed for 2011. Flag Football Registration (JRAC)Registration is closed for 2011. Tackle Football Evaluations (CPHS)Evaluations have been completed for 2011. Saturday July 23rdDRAFT (CPHS)The draft was held in the CPHS Auditorium Tuesday, August 2nd 2011. Rebels Youth Football Camp (CPHS)Closed for 2011. Practices / Games (Various)Practices will start the week of August 15th, and games are likely to start during the week of September 5th. Practice schedules and locations are determined by head coaches and will vary by team.
Playing Outside Your Age GroupWhile we do not allow anyone to play down in a league, age or weight, we do on certain occasions allow a player to play up in a league based on an evaluation of the player. To do so parents/guardians must request this before sign-ups begin. A coach will also be contacted for input if possible. The final decision will be made by the CDAA Football committee. All CDAA Football committee decisions are final. Miscellaneous InformationYour $150 deposit check will be held until the end of the season. You will receive your check back when you have returned ALL your equipment in good condition and CLEAN. You must turn in an evaluation form to receive your deposit check back. Coaches will hand out evaluation forms during the playoffs or just prior to the end of the season. You can also download the form on the CDAA Website. It is very important that we know how the program is doing in the eyes of the parents and participants so we can improve. These forms will be read only by the football directors and possibly the HS staff. You may remain anonymous if you wish; however, signature of names is encouraged. Changes and additional information will be added to the website on a regular basis. Please check for updates closer to the season.
