league or take kids from the under age traveling tryout group who did NOT
make a team.
10U teams – If short players they can draft age 9 and under players
if there are NOT enough age appropriate players. The ‘A’ coach
cannot take under age players if 11 or more age appropriate players have signed
up for ‘A’ team. The ‘B’ coach cannot take under
age players unless they are short players to make a team. At no time can
an under age player take the place of an appropriate age child trying out
for a team regardless of skill.

together before the regular baseball season. The coach selection committee
must have no fewer than three members. All decisions by the Coach selection
committee are final.

teams into their season tournaments. The Traveling Director will decide the
appropriate number of tournaments for each age level. Parents of traveling

Traveling Coach applications:
Traveling Coaches are not guaranteed a coaching position the following year.
All coaches must complete a coach application each baseball season. If there
is more then one applicant for any one position all applicants for that position
must be interviewed by the Coach Selection committee. The coach selection
committee must interview all NEW coaches.
Surveys:
Parent and player surveys will be sent to all families participating in the
traveling baseball program no later than 30 days after the last game of the
season is played. The results of these surveys will be considered during the
coach selection process the next year.
Non Residents can play CDAA traveling baseball only if they have previously played in our CDAA baseball house league program the previous year and live within the CPHS boundary. Non residents could have the opportunity to play on a Traveling team without previously playing in a CDAA house league if there are not enough players to fill a CDAA traveling team roster. Non-residents living in the CPHS boundary and who have played a year in CDAA baseball, house or traveling, will have an equal chance to make a traveling team as any Champlin Dayton resident.
