2008 CDAA House Leagues will play on the following days:

House League: The age appropriate level your child should enroll in is that age your child is prior to August 31st 2008. There is one exception to this rule - those players affected by this change (born between May 1st and August 31st) may “Play-up” in order to play with other players in their grade. (Must be both age appropriate AND grade appropriate.) For Traveling ages, see the Traveling description. Players that participate in a Traveling baseball progam (CDAA or otherwise) are not eligible to play in CDAA House League/Babe Ruth during the same season/year.
7U
Program (Age before August 31st): This is an ENTRY level league. This program
is designed for 6&7 year olds who have a limited understanding of basic
rules and at least one year of T-Ball. Pitching machines will be introduced
in this league. If your child has not played baseball before please consider
signing them up for a T-Ball league with the city of Champlin.
8U Program (Age before August 31st): This is NOT an entry level league. This
program is for 8 year olds and for 7 year olds with more advanced skills
with at least one year in a pitching machine league. Pitching machines will
be used for practices and games and more advanced base running skills will
be introduced. This is a Monday/Wednesday night league. There will not be
skill evaluations for this age group. To be eligible to play up to the 9&10
age group, you must attend the 9&10 year old evaluation session and
qualify in the top 10 percentile of the evaluated 9&10 year olds in
either the American or National Leagues.

Note: Seven and eight year-olds who are eligible to play in the 8U program
may play up to the 9&10 age group, however they must attend the 9&10
year old evaluation session and qualify in the top 10 percentile of the
evaluated 9&10 year olds in either the American or National Leagues.
9 & 10 year old program (age before August 31st): This league will be
divided into an American League and a National league based on skill evaluations
prior to the start of the season determining which league is appropriate
for each player. Pitching machines will be used in the first half of the
baseball season in the National league only. The American league will be
player pitch from the start of the season. There will be a mid season tournament
and season end tournament. The TOP two American league teams at the Year
end tournament will advance to the MYAS (Minnesota Youth Athletic Services)
CO-Rec State Tournament with their tournament entry fee paid for by CDAA
baseball. Other teams are encouraged to participate in the Co-rec State
Tournament but must pay their own fees. If playing up to the 11&12 age
group, you must attend the 11&12 year old evaluation session. Playing
up in the 11&12 league for players younger than 11 years old is allowed
only if you qualify in the top 10% percentile of the evaluated 11-12 year
olds.
11 & 12 year old program (age before August 31st): The TOP two teams
at the Year end tournament will advance to the MYAS (Minnesota Youth Athletic
Services) CO-Rec State Tournament with their tournament entry fee paid for
by CDAA baseball. Other teams are encouraged to participate in the Co-rec
State Tournament but must pay their own fees.
Babe Ruth 13 year old program (age before August 31st): New this year, the
13 year old program has changed. Games are played on 75 foot base paths
and 52 foot pitching distance. Teams will play other teams from Champlin
and also teams from Brooklyn Park. There will be a mid-season and year end
tournament.
Babe Ruth 14-15 year old league (age before August 31st): Games are played
on 90 foot base paths and 60 foot pitching distance. Teams will play other
teams from Champlin and also teams from Maple Grove and Brooklyn Park. There
will be a mid-season and year end tournament.
